The University of Liverpool has demonstrated ways in which the cloud augments our local research computing infrastructure, but how do we take this forward? Ad hoc experiments can be managed with a modest support team, but that does scale to provide the production / service environment desired.

This talk will sketch where Liverpool is in its cloud strategy, what we perceive as the immediate challenges and what we think are sensible next steps in integrating the cloud into our research computing environment. Opinions will be saught!
